FlexMesh supports two ways to add stops:
- Auto-capture scanning — Point your camera at a waybill, FlexMesh captures it instantly
- Manual address input — Type or paste addresses directly
Use whichever method works for your situation. Many drivers use both.
When to Use Each Method
Use Auto-Capture Scanning When:
- You have physical packages with waybills in front of you
- You're scanning 50-100+ packages at the depot
- You want the fastest way to load addresses
- The waybill has a clear, readable address
Use Manual Input When:
- You received addresses via text, email, or spreadsheet
- The waybill is damaged or hard to read
- You're adding a pickup or personal stop
- You're planning routes before packages arrive
- You have a list of regular customers
How Manual Input Works
Adding addresses manually in FlexMesh is simple:
- Tap the add button in the route screen
- Choose manual entry instead of scan
- Type or paste the address
- FlexMesh validates and adds it to your route
You can also:
- Paste multiple addresses at once
- Import from clipboard if someone sent you a list
- Save frequent addresses for quick access
Mix and Match
Most drivers combine both methods:
Morning at depot:
- Scan 80 packages with auto-capture (fast)
During the day:
- Add a pickup request manually (customer texted the address)
- Add a personal stop (lunch, gas station)
Planning ahead:
- Type tomorrow's known addresses the night before
